ENERGY STAR CERTIFIED

Beyond the quality craftsmanship and personalized design, Samuelsen Homes are also Energy Star Certified. Each home is tested and certified by Skyetec, the Florida certifying company for Energy Star and also for water intrusion and indoor air-quality issues.

Energy Star Building

The Energy Star Program provides homes that are a minimum of 15% more efficient that the National Model Energy Code. This gives the homeowner the assurance of helping the environment, a more comfortable home, plus the savings on future energy bills. In addition to the thousands saved in energy expenses, your Samuelsen Home will be equipped with the newest technologies, and position you for a greater resale value in the future.

Samuelsen Builders Energy Star features:

  • Efficient Heating and Cooling Equipment

Heating and cooling systems are the largest single consumers of energy in buildings. Samuelsen Homes are equipped with 14 seer systems, with multi-speed air handlers, plus programmable thermostats.

  • Tight Construction and Ducts

Sealing holes and cracks in the home's "envelope" and in heating and cooling duct systems helps reduce drafts, moisture, dust, pollen, and noise. A Samuelsen Home improves comfort and indoor air quality while reducing utility and maintenance.

  • Energy Efficient Windows

Double pane insulated low-e glass windows are installed to keep the cool-air in and the hot-air out during the summer months, plus keeping the heat in during the winter months.

  • Effective Insulation

Properly installed and inspected insulation in floors, walls, and attics ensures even temperatures throughout the house, reduced energy use, and increased comfort. All homes have R 41 insulation installed in the attic.

  • Efficient Products

Energy Star qualified homes may also be equipped with Energy Star qualified products - lighting fixtures, compact fluorescent bulbs, ventilation fans, and appliances, such as refrigerators, dishwashers, and washing machines.
